Earthing Kits for Optical Fiber Cables:
To avoid presence of high voltage in armour of optical fiber cable due
to leakage current from electric poles and to provide safety to
personnel working in the equipment rooms, several utilities recommend
use of an Earthing Kit. Western Cablex's earthing kit consists of
wraparound sleeves, heat shrink tubes, copper cable, role springs,
copper lugs and other cable preparation materials.
